DON'T put a manual in it. Put an auto box in it and you can mod it to allow manual control of the gears. It will save you endless strife in the long run and you can stick to Toyota part and popular adapter systems.
The toyo V8 is a popular choice but it doesn't leave much room under the bonnet for extra batteries etc.
Are you planning on a PTO as well for winch or? If you are keen on the winch challenges have a think about weight distribution as well - front/rear, most people worry about overall weight but not where is.
i have thought about an auto for in water etc what can i use one from? was thinking maybe a hydraulic winch iv been told theyre way faster. as for batteries etc i can always make a holder somewhere else for them. im after complete reliability if there is such a thing
