I would agree with your maths. I would not worry about alignment unless you hit something hard, and put most of that $840 towards the replacement set.

Anyone can do a wheel rotation at 10 thou. Just use plenty of chocks around the wheels remaining on the ground, or if the spare is one of the set, even easier.
