Does anyone know if I could carry a rifle for 10-14 days if I was to bring one on a holiday with intentions of hunting at some point of the visit.

The motorhome would need appropriate storage, and I doubt the rental company would let you drill holes in their vehicle.

Regarding it being no different to us transporting a rifle to a range or hunting area, there are new rules around that, the most important in your scenario is you can only leave the vehicle for up to one hour.
