That is usually the problem, as I said do your homework before cutting.....it can get real complicated certing a repair on something that never should have been cut in NZ especially with some of the low volume cert guys who have no practical knowledge only a folder of shit.

I'll try the job without cutting first. I've got a reasonable engineering background and could easily do it so they wouldn't even know it had been done.
