    Hidden gems

You never know what you are going to see from one day to the next.
I was making a delivery during the week, and the lady of the house insisted on showing of her pride and joy. I had never even heard of the make before, but what what under a tarp in her garage was pretty special for sure

1920 Henderson 1300cc . eems the American cops liked them as they could out run the crims of the day.
Not sure I would want to corner one any faster than 20 km though

You depart with mighty boasts, but you come back having done little.
Sounds like a typical hunting trip !

    Mrs Google says it's a 1930ish Excelsior Henderson Super X 1300 cc 4 cylinder.
Nice build - lucky we all appreciate good workmanship of any age.

Thank Wally. To be fair, the pic I used is not of THE actual bike, as it was crammed into a tight spot in a garage, under a tarp. The pic may be a slightly different bike. Bloody awesome either way

This one has travelled 5 km since refurb, as the previous owner, a family member of the current one, died very soon after completion

If you like this sort of thing, visit Southwards Car Museum. Some seriously sweet bikes there

@Pengy many years ago a guy by the name of Larsen owned one, we used to go on vintage car rallies, I owned an Alvis TA21. We'd be drinking beer while driving and Ivan would pull up along side us on the Henderson, at speed, and my girl friend would pass out the bottle for him to quench his thirst. He never kick started it, just ran alongside, jumped on and away!
