Wet feet on treadplate are still dangerous.

The purpose of the checker was just because we had some 6mm left over from a job and bought it off the boss cheap.

The floor gets quite wet so we will leave it uncarpeted I think the inside is quite small, there is a foot plate for when you are seated otherwise there isn't much movement of people inside the boat.

The nose has a sheet of the grippy foamy type stuff that is where you put your feet on a JetSki. That's also on the reinforced dash for standing on.

Outdoor carpet is on the engine cover both to dampen sound and also minimise the frying pan effect of alloy in the sunshine.
