Good work. Had a mate just build a 4m pontoon jet boat with a lexus V8 and proflo unit for adventure/hunting boating and taking out to sea. Can't wait to get it out.

Awesome, I'm not too into the sea stuff though!

Last year I borrowed a mates boat and drove from Marekakako to sea then up the Clive to the pub a bunch of us did it (thankfully as I needed their help after sucking weed in the Clive and not knowing what to do ha ha). We just parked up the boats, had a few beers, then boated home! It was excellent!

That didn't go down too well.

Ha ha. Welding is my fav part of my job. Weld prep... not so much.

I nearly put a grinder through my face today. Don't tell your wife that lol

You mean a hungry wheel? Bf lost the end of his index finger with one about five months ago.

I am "not allowed" (happy to comply lol) to use hungry wheels or 9" ginders. We have a really great supportive team at work and I am usually able to get someone to help me with anything I feel uncomfortable with doing.

Basically a skill saw blade in a grinder.....there is varying types from thin to thick and in different profiles for gouging preps or cutting etc.
It is one of the most efficient way to manually cut/remove/prep ally and really clean as you are not embedding the cut with abrasives and glues and fibers and melted oxides.
However being hand held and "hungry" they really need to be used with a iron will...ie this will break both my arms before I let go of it.
Every single grinder accident I have seen myself or heard after the fact is complacency.
    Hang onto the fuckr.
I agree (no offense m8) you possibly shouldn't be on the end of a 9 simply because it takes a bit of bulk to stall one in front of your face.

There's one on the battery grinder which is a good option for thinning tacks etc but cutting work is a leaded 1400watt plus.

@veitnamcam I chucked a handle on my grinder after it tried to eat my face today and yeah I'm not into hungry wheels or 9", fuck that.

I got someone else to do the rest of the cutting today while I followed along behind, doing the welding.
