I had a 741B Army Indian (it still had the numbers on the tank) that I rode to work for about 6 months about 1966. I bought it registered and warranted for 4 Pounds and foolishly sold it for 6 Pounds. I wish I still had it!

My Oupa learned to ride on an Indian Prince in what was then, Southern Rhodesia. Always had fond memories for him.

There are two types of Indians, the push start & the pull start, which type do you have?

(warning & spoiler; Indian culture joke)

We all feel the same, certainly. If I'd not sold my present bike that I owned, I wouldn't have been able to afford the next one. That's been the case for 55 years now and they must number more than 150 at this stage. Loved each one and the memory too.

    Yep with a few mods
    Different flywheels/rods/slipper pistons- Stroked and bored 280 thou/7+mm. Was 500cc now 750cc.
Ported barrels, Big valves, titanium keepers, Alloy retainers, Custon cam lobes that I had to mill the old lobes off the gears then mechine pin rivets to locate the new lobs, new roller rockers, big venturi in carb along with a few other mods, electronic ignition, 12v gene, good (modern)crankcase ventilation, Kevlar clutch plates
Wheels were 18x3" originally but changed to 16x5" chief rims with custom spokes as this was never an option
A bit of a learning experience for me , including- laced the wheels, milled the crank/rods, lathed the pistons, chopped and channeled the guards, straightened the frame, forks, handle bars (believe it or not they are chrome moly), every part of the engine/gearbox sorted with NOS parts or one I made for it
What i didn't do , paint, air brushed tank decals and bored the cylinders.

    A few progress pics
