Thread: Inflatable Kayaks

If anyone is interested, I ended up buying a used Gumotex Twist 1 inflatable off trademe, and took it up around the Sounds last week, in calm conditions it went well and I caught 4 snapper, 4 blue cod and endless spotties in 1.5 days fishing. Need to get an anchor setup, any slight breeze or current meant I couldn't stay in position and didn't get any bites.

Not an ideal fishing kayak but it's very compact so fits nicely in the truck, takes 5 minutes to inflate, and cost $350. I'll replace it at some stage with a longer/wider inflatable, ideally with more attachment points for bait board etc.
