Anyone on here have one of these??

Intereted in how they go. Intended use would be river, lake and some close inshore coastal and estury fishing.

No, but I’d love one. Powered by jet bottomed outboard with rubber intake. There is a couple of YouTube videos of guys doing the Wanganui. Awesome bits of kit I reckon, but (for me) rather expensive.

I showed a bunch of professional jet boat drivers those videos. They pilot their own alloy mini jet boats in the weekends, and said they would never even try and take them the places those went. Deep into the Kaimanawas and Kawekas if you know which YTs to watch, and know the terrain

My mate has one here in north canterbury they are very very capable and robust, being inflatable they are great at low speed no getting up on the plane really as its already floating. I have been in his though some very boney and shallow rivers and there's no way I would've taken any of my old jet boats up some of the places they can go.

I still like the idea of this.

I don't want a jet. Would like to make something in HDPE for an outboard. Had lined up the supplies to make one a couple of years back but body went too feral to attempt it and was scheduled for house repairs, which we're still waiting for.

No, they are remarkably sturdy. The ruskies use them on some atrocious rivers, often carting hundreds of litres of gas as its three days up a river to spot 'X'.

But yes, they can wrap, just like all inflatables. But running twin tubes makes them an awful lot more resilient when the shit hits the fan!
