I use these regularly. I now always use a filter funnel to fill the quad or bike, as the inner paint lining is now flaking off.

A point to note: fuel kept in these (steel) containers will last for years, as long as it stays full. No air for the fuel to oxidise with, and no plastic for the volatile fractions to sneak out through.
