    Jet Boat insurance

So I just brought a new toy, and want to insure it accordingly. However rang my normal insurance company, AMI, and got told they don't cover for any waterways that can't get an outboard up. Which is odd as that's the point of a jet boat

So for the jet boat owners out there who do you use and recommend?

    Cheers

AMI = Am I Insured?? And we all know the answer..............................."not if we can find a loop hole to wriggle thru."

Call the NZ Jet boat association they will possibly recommend a company

Heaps of info on there. If jetboating is new to you definitely join the local branch. They'll teach you heaps. Best thing we did when we got a jetboat. And joining supports their efforts to keep rivers open to use. If they didn't battle for access rights there would be few rivers you could boat in.

I rang around a few places went with FMG, you don't need to have other insurance with them, they are familiar with insuring jet boats and their price was good

AMI insure my Jetboat and trailer. No questions asked. Have never had a disappointing experience with AMI and have been dealing with them for 12 years.

Interesting, as stated above AMI were the ones that told me that they would only insure for water you could take an outboard.
