I have put up with the seatbelt beep long enough on the Hilux. I've asked Toyota and auto sparky - no joy " the beeps there for a reason" I thought it was the Hilux or the mental hospital....
Anyway turns out there is actually a way to switch it on and off without a hammer:

With the PX and PX2 ranger. Not sure about PX3. You get in the seat, turn the ignition to on, plug in and unplug the seat belt 5 times in 30 sec then turn ignition off.
To do the passenger side you need someone to sit in the seat.
Killing the Ranger "keys left in ignition on exit" warning is apparently a lot harder. I had my seatbelts done ages ago, great on farms with multiple gates.

Bloody annoying at the range. Currently after opening the first gate I plug the seatbelt in and sit on it.
This only works on the 2005 - 2015 KUN26R, no good for the current model GUN126R.
Pretty sure that’s the case because I think it’s the first thing we tried to do when we got the first batch of GUN126R, when it didn’t work we looked it up and a presto they had removed this particularly useful work around… for safety reasons.
When my lad was running late model hilux he had a spare buckle in the console for such an occasion.

I'm off to the wreckers for some old seat belt webbing for a project. Will get a couple of spare buckle plugs at the same time. Handy going across the farm getting in and out every few minutes, opening and closing gates.
the iveco fert sower squeals like castrated pig if have door open and handbrake off...... beeps loudly if seatbelt not on....its a pig of a truck....

Yes, I watched a Youtube clip last night of a guy demonstrating getting into the guts of his dash to disconnect the chime. WTF! The chime in my car (most modern cars) will have other important functions as well not just a seat belt warning..Quote:

It tried unplugging the beeper for reverse on a Subaru (imported). Found it unplugged ,job done, or so I thought. Couldn't get it out of Park. I resorted to wrapping it in multiple layers of tape. Mates of my brother had a car that beeped over 100kph. They found it by driving around at over 100 listening for it. Once they had pin pointed it, killed it with a cordless drill.
The Pathfinder I had would flash the air bag light sometimes. Advice was to replace the computer at around $3K. Googled it & found a procedure to reset it by turning on the ignition with the door opening & pushing the button that turns on the interior light when you open the door 5 times.

You can get a blade with a buckle on it, shuts the beep up, and you can use the belt as normal. Pretty sure it's mot legal or possibly even safe, but better than just hacking at shit like some specimens do
Only retards will disconnect or cut the wiring.
It is a very simple job to stop the seatbelt warning chime in the Hilux's.
People are just to f**ken lazy to do it properly

The toyota dealer can remove the searbelt beep on my 2021 hilux evidently a simple process but its not a happening thing on the open door chime
Yeah bloody door chime is not able to be stopped.
Not without losing key proximity and a whole lot of other features you'd still want.
Even in my older KUN26 Hilux that bloody noise can't be stopped.
I've just got into the habit of taking the key out and dropping in the drink holder in the door whenever I get out on the farm

EDIT: remembered, I unplugged a wire from the key cylinder after removing the lower steering column cowling. There’s a guide to this somewhere.
Another edit. Memory must be starting to fail… it is 8 years ago though so forgive the uncertainty.
For the door chime on the KUN26R: After first disconnecting the “key in barrel” plug there was a concern that the circuit would interfere with the SRS / airbags so we plugged it back in, and pulled out the dash cluster and removed the speaker from the little bleeper, which kept the circuit intact (as different from removing the bleeper altogether).
Disconnecting that key sensor stops the immobilizer system from working properly. As well as a number of other things Toyota saw fit to tie it in with.
Working for Toyota we have tried all sorts of things for customers. Basically not worth the hassle.
Have seen the actual piezo speaker removed, but then you also lose warning beep for other things like lights on etc
