Had water half way up the windscreen of an Army Mercedes Benz dump truck (Unimog size but bigger and six wheel drive) driving up the Whakatane river in the early 90's. So 8 foot under. We were delivering hut construction materials for DoC. Truck had just come out of workshops and had a new air filter and snorkel fitted, so we knew it was airtight.
