    In my opinion they need to be original.

    No point swapping your landy out full of other makes, although they are practical improvements if you want practical don't buy a LandRover... Buy a landcruiser.

    If you want a LandRover... Buy a LandRover and maintain it. At least it will be worth something when your finished

    Hmmm well my series three Landy is a lot faster than a 70 series with the 3b. And on par with my old 2001 5l powered hilux (yes I'm aware both of those are slow)

    Those FDs are pretty good, my mate had the 4.2l one in a Rangerover, it had more power and torque than the 3.5v8. There were about 20 Rangerovers sold from a dealer in chch in the late 80s with 4.5l v8s, they go pretty well.
