Yeah would be a slug on the road but then again, its something a bit different and if you're not in a hurry . . .
Like you said, a great hunting camper.
I thought it would be a picture of a tow truck
my wedding car was the red cross long wheel base V8 landy ...it fits a strectcher in back and is used and ambo wagon in crappy weather....
Red cross and air force had landrover ambulances
Nice big v8 ones...with shite suspension
St John had a few early 90s but sold them to private interests....smaller engines ...but same site suspension
GUN CONTROL IS A TIGHT 5-SHOT GROUP.
Jeremy Clarkson has a hatred of caravans and other towed appendages, his solution to the problem was to allow them on the road between 2 and 5 am only. Any found still driving outside that time could legally shunted off the road and into the ditch
There are only three types of people in this world. Those that can count, and those that can't!
Saw a nicely spruced up SII on the road yesterday. Remarked to my wife that is had probably just been collected by the owner from a garage after repairs. Which is probabaly a bit unfair though as a mate at one time had a SWB SI and it just kept going and going. That thing was virtually unstoppable with 4 chains on.
Many years ago in the mine where I worked they started off initially with a fleet of Land Rovers. LWB and SWB and a couple of Safaris for the managers. The mechanics always had at least one Landy in for repairs. The brand really struggled under the mine conditions. Wasn’t entirely the brand’s fault though as the mine operators thrashed everything.
There was a small pool of unassigned vehicles and if you went to get one usually the only one left would be the 6 cylinder LWB which nobody wanted to use. It was an utter dog. (IIRC a retro fitted holden engine improved them considerably.)
The introduction of the first series Land Cruisers saw the Land Rovers gone from the site.
Mind you the mine company did dabble for a while with a few shit heap Mahindra jeeps.
