    There is also a history of the units catching fire when left in car gloveboxes - if you have one big enough to take it I guess.
    Have used one of these to start my 100 series (4.2 TD) when it was dead flat, a 3.0 litres TD hilux that was dead flat and a ford falcon when its battery was just not enough to fire. The trick is to connect them up to the car battery and leave them sitting there for 10 minutes or so before trying to start the vehicle. Also used it to charge phone and uhf handhelds.
