    Mechanical breakdown insurance

    Hey team.
I have just bought a 2017 Triton (picking up in 10 days). I went online to look at MBI for that peace of mind. I tried to get quotes from a few places, but because the truck is modified with a lift and bull bars they said they can’t provide MIB.
Any of you lot have MIB with a modded truck? Who do you recommend?

Did you buy it privately? You might be able to have a discussion with the insurer directly and get a mechanical report done through a mechanic that fits bars and does lifts, but it likely isn't the bull bar that is the issue.

It's more likely that the issue is the lift and what it's done to the driveshaft angles, steering angles, mountings, bearings and joints and the fact that they can't actually verify what was done if they don't know who did the work.

Think that one was in the earlier MN. The MQ has the 2.4 4N15 I think. Probably still valid though

After dealing with the majority of the mechanical insurance companies, they're all crooks and the policies aren't worth the paper they're written on.
