Just got it...what a ride....have the first Valkyrie that came out,now this, two different riding styles but truly a blast
But does it go round corners ?
Looks like a long wheelbase !
Of course my babies Italian, so it's possible I'm a tad biased
Al we need now is some sunshine !
Mate...rather than me fill you with bullshit....read the motorcycle world review....one of its features is its cornering, and let me tell you mate,it really does, bloody tight as!!!
Attachment 75189
This is the 98 Valkyrie, corners well, but nowhere close to the new technology
For a real riding experience...

Fuck mate...we have some awesome builders and finishers of bikes....wasn't trying to start a ...." who's got the biggest Cock contest" here...but we have some blokes/shelias who have some fine bikes in kiwi.....stugis stories ,photos, etc,it's a transport thread.....first bike I ever had was an Honda Elsinore 125/and a SL 125.... rode those things between Porirua and wgtn, for years as a kid,the Elsinore as you know was not street legal, but we rode it...fuck the cops ,never got caught.......I still remember the old "farmbike".... those tires were huge
No really mate...58.... rode the fuck out of bikes for years...couple of hiccups......worked in Hinakura, had an XL 250.... could pack a smoko, shearing gear, drenching gun and a box of piss.....no worries
True mate..had a mate that worked up the top of Cuba street at the Honda dealer that did all my work,...valves were the worst...fucked a few but we've never been known to be pussys on bikes I reckon
@A330driver whats different?

Mate..hard to argue with that stufff...nothing but admiration....
Well mate, the Ducati is a beautiful piece of bike indeed, spendy, and well built.I did look at it,and if I was a younger fella,I probably would have purchased it,it's just not my riding style anymore. The valkyrie is a 2014,right out of the box,I believe the ozzies are getting the 2017s,the yanks aren't,they flooded the market over here and still have heaps in the boxes.
They tried to sell this bike to the millenials,it never worked, the kids want crotch rockets,so the dilemma for Honda is to get rid of them...CHEAP!!..... they were selling for $18,500 USD,, I was offered this bike, and let me tell you,it has everything,,for $10,500,out of the box.Took one for a test ride, fell in love with it.The Honda dealer also gives a warranty that's out of this world, plus oil changes for the first 20,000 miles.....my issue with it,....after market add ons,not many but they are coming around.I could go on all day,but it's one of the finest bikes Honda has ever made... cheers
This is my current ride

And this is the same bike that I found in a shop in Daytona
Attachment 75262
Cheers
Pete
Yeah mate.....you cannot best the yanks when it comes to add-ons,etc....the variety ,selection and numbers of outfits that compete for your $$$$$s is phenomenal....it's just the way it is....nice ride though mate, very nice
My current. Thirsty as fuck, louder than hell ,quicker than any Harley I ever owned by far , lumpy cams idles like a single cylinder diesel pump motor , goes round corners like a two storey bus... All making it fun as to play with ...

I love the old Indians! I sold my old 741B for 6 quid (still in Army paint and all original). It was a 50% profit after riding it to work for about 6 months and winter starting to bite. I have been kicking myself for the last 51 years about that! I would love another one but they are just too damn expensive to have as another toy.
here is my current one.
it's a Harley Flintstone edition.
The 'chosen' one for us - pre-electronic suspension and other gubbins.

And it stays upright too :D
The VTX series are a fine ride mate,I still have an 1800cc,and have owned and sold several 1300,s.You cannot beat Honda for reliability.EFI vs Carb,I've never felt huge differences in the power,or response, except for performance at altitude.Your right, the 1800 is a bloody petrol hog .
'06 CR250R. Not the fastest model they made but is one of the nicest looking ones. Still goes good when you wind her up.

On the complete other end of the spectrum, I had a real craving for an old Brit bike ever since I found a Tiger Cub under a house in Khandallah as a building apprentice. So a year ago I picked this old girl up. Pure, raw motorcycling is the feeling I get when I ride it. The vibration and oil leaks...
Attachment 75811
My current rides. Both from the big K.

'04 Z1000. Nothing like a Japanese 4.

08 KLE 500 twin. Great gravel road blaster.
Textiles at a track day ?
What track is it?
Hampton insists on leathers and a back protector.
Still on my restricted for another 8 months:

This was at the Hells Canyon motorcycle Rally this summer.......the joker riding it was a Vietnam vet,no legs, built the bugger himself, asked if he could do a run with the 6 of us,....that old fella never missed a beat,we averaged 120km,he never missed a beat, stayed with us the whole 350km.....

Just love old bikes.
This is my 1939 Triumph Tiger 100 race bike.
All the fruit (billet crank, Morgo rods, Arias pistons) and running on methanol. Goes like a rocket.
