    Navara ST-450 - Good deal?

Wife spotted Nissan are doing 1% APR finance deals. Thoughts on the latest version Navaras? It'll only get light 4wd use and is mainly as daily driver and tow vehicle.
Finance deal is on any model however they have a special version Navara called the SL-450. Seems to be the basic SL model with minor cosmetic tweaks making it closer to the higher ST model. The SL-450 is $49k and the SL is normally $56-58k and the ST $60-62k so seems like a good buy.
We've been saving with target of cash buy late 2022 but at 1% APR better to leave it in bank and use it to offset mortgage. 1% vs 4% (and rising!).
We're tempted also on safety reasons as our 2005 6 cylinder Outback is approaching 200,000km and while it's got plenty of power to tow the boat it is above its rating (car spec 1800kg braked, boat 2200kg)

Any thoughts appreciated. Especially on where you think ute prices might go. Obviously going up in January however might there be some awesome sales or field day deals a few months later?
An SUV would probably suit us better than double cab however looking around SUV equivs are all higher $ than the double cab. Triton vs Pajero, Hilux vs Prado, etc

@gonetropo what was the $ for D-Max? I searched so much last night and most brand websites aren't saying price. Instead you get please book a test drive, speak to a dealer, etc. So freaking frustrating! Just tell me a price and I'll talk, or walk! Aaarrrrgggghhhh

Dealers advertising leaves a lot to be desired, mate looking for a new Triton checked new ones on T/M, when he contacted the Dealer found the add that included canopy and towbar had mysteriously increased by $10,000 just for the base vehicle, no canopy or extra's. One on T'M was sold many moons ago but left there.

Nissan is getting buried in USA. Be careful.

Are they ceasing sales in USA? Even if they are that'd be irrelevant wouldn't it? They manufacture and sell worldwide

    Current Navara's are 2.3L
Power should not e a problem as boat trailer spec plate says 2300kg. Not sure how real that is. Have seen online figures between 1850 and 2200kg. Of course then add fuel, numerous skis, biscuits wakeboards, etc

@uk_exile regard's to ute price's i cant see any "sales" in the near future. No run out sale, new model sale etc you have to have stock on hand to have those and with 6 month plus wait on some models now. I can see prices increasing if anything
Also have a look a the second hand market 2018 2019 utes are selling what they paid for them new.

Yeah, we've noticed that. Good for those who brought new 2-5yrs ago and are changing now. It seems good too for the current owners of any 1990+ Surf, Safari, Prado etc. They've gone up in last few years. 7yrs ago sold our 93 3L turbo diesel manual Surf that done about 180,0000kms and had new head for just $6k. Now even though it be at 300,000kms it'd be more like $10k or more

Am tempted towards SUV as we've got a decent trailer for gravel, firewood, etc. That's if can get SUV with got low range. We launch off concrete ramp is full and when lower gravel lake beaches.

Are you towing your boat with the Subaru already?

If you are, you'll be in all sorts of shit if you have an accident and someone decides to weigh the boat + trailer.
    Just...say...the...word
