    Some are fine and some are absolute lemons, ive had 2 D40 Navara's and weve also had them at the work. My 2011 STX450 was great, it was an auto 4x4, heaps of grunt, handled well and went good enough off road for what it was and i had no complaints, i unfortunately wrote it off after a night shift and the side curtain airbags saved my life so the safety of them is great.
    I then replaced it with a 2008 STX, I bought that one with 165,000kms on the clock and drive it from CHCH to AKL to bring her home, proceeded to do 118kms in it per day until i sold it at 234,000kms, The 4x4 system in that had a problem, after a hard day on the sand trying to recover someones Ford Courier, it went into a 2WD limp mode, after shutting it off for around an hour it worked in 4x4 again but was never the same, clunked when engaging low range etc, didnt give me much confidence.
    Then we had 3 of them at work as Dog wagons, and they were shite, engines needed rebuilding, clutches didnt last 2 seconds, wellside had pressure fractures from the steel boxes etc..
    The chassis snapping thing is either from gross overloading or UK imports that have driven on salted roads for a portion of there life.
