2023 Hilux transmission shudder at 50kph update for those that are interested. Toyota NZ told local agent to "reflash" the ecu. This made no difference what's so ever. Toyota NZ then said to change the wheels to a different size. This seemed like a complete waste of time to me and I could tell by his body language that the local agent service manager possibly thought the same. Amazingly it seems to have made a difference - no harsh shudder at low speeds - but early days though. Original tyres were 265/65 R17 - they fitted Prado black mags/tyres 265/60 R18. I have compared the two tyres on a tyre comparison/calculator website and the 265/60 R18 is 0.3% less in circumference. Interestingly when I was out mtbing tonight I saw another new Hilux that had these same 18" wheels instead of the factory 17" ones. I was certain the torque converter was f----d.
