They sold a couple of hundred Isuzus during the 4 day Fieldays, so plenty of people seemed to be happy with them. Toyota wasn't there, as they couldn't sell you any. You had to wait till at least Nov I believe??
Sika - like the little cherokee chief e-bike design. Details? Top speed, range? Do you have to click thru all 7 gears or simply select top and off you go? Throttle only if desired, or always pedal? I see they're out of stock.
Had an e-bike for a year - great little things. Until a 39 tonne truck disagreed at a roundabout...
Hey mudgripz yep love it for what it is mate gets me where I need to go. Top speed on flat land is just shy of 30km. It’s got a throttle only mode and pedal assist. I found pedal assist is best for going up hill. I just chuck it in 2nd lowest gear and toddle along. The battery range is well adequate so tend to use the throttle and not need to worry about conserving battery. I would imagine under load you’d get 50-60k worth of range of ups and downs. My only negative on it is the lower rear sprocket is too low to the ground. Big sticks knock the chain off. But I’m saying that it’s only happened 3 or so times and is a diddle to whack back on. I think they’ve just brought out a dual hub model. That would be next level to this one. I’m 80kg and it’s brought out my gear and 2 boned out deer in the saddle bags. I plan on giving it a whirl into the southern access corridor at some point to see how it goes in there
Did you get more off than the Framlands discount, @Tahr?
Sounds like a very good deal.....any extras like towbar in that?
Its $500 to become a farmlands shareholder, top of my head you were getting about $3000 of a new ranger. In doing this the price of a hilux and ranger are about the same.
But what ever model ute/suv you can't register before 1 Jan 2022 will cost you between $2500-$3000
Sika - pop up some pics on that model - like to have a good look at it. E-bikes the future it seems - and they're everywhere now. Bloke went past me couple days ago on an E-trike!! like a wee Harley thing. Actually looked very comfortable. Anyone else with E-hunters?? Slight thread hijack. Apologies.
@XR500 haha I’ll hold ya to that bro if I get stuck!

Here’s the trademe link here to the dual hub model. Looks like a good bit of kit. Pretty affordable compared to a lot of the e bikes out there
