    Cheers Rushy. I'll pop in on the weekend. Just got off the phone with the LTSA and they basically said the same thing.

    The max for my truck is 2045KG apparently. Given that it's like 1.8-1.9 tonne empty that does't leave me with a lot to work with!

    Mate, if you were my size I would say go on a diet but if that is you in your avatar then there aint much scope for that. i would almost bet that you will find the LTSA data base is wrong.
    It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

    Yep that's me, but I'm 100KG so not a little bastard. That'd be bringing the truck up to 2 tonne with me in it just about...

    I'll look into that database issue. That's what the guy thought it was. He's been getting lots of calls about people in the same boat as me thinking WTF is going on here?

    Turns out I mistakenly thought if you were towing a boat or trailer you'd have to weigh that as well (you just have to have the total down force on the tyres weighed), to which a boat trailer really doesn't add a lot). Plus I'm sure they let you hop out of your truck if the CVIU ever did pull you up... but in saying that I don't think they're really going to give a toss if some bloke is towing a normal boat or trailer.

    The minimum now is 3.5T anyway since the changes that cane in 1st Aug. They have done away with the number of tonnes and gone for broader GVM bands. So I've automatically gone up 0.5T and you'll go up by 1.5T, and realistically you should have been on 3T too. There is not that much difference in price for me anyway.
