There was some great advice, thanks.

I like the newish Cooper RT's its got on it. It's got a good bull bar. Big costs to add to a new vehicle.
It's already got marks and dents-things I really fret about with a new vehicle. I put big K's on my utes so a new one would be like this one in a year anyway.
I'm not ready to spend $30K for a change over - especially with the cost of being dragged to the UK for 6 weeks soon
There is so much more I need to spend money on - not just toys - but I like toys. The cost of living (especially in Wellington) has got out of hand.
If I need to I can still replace the Ranger but in the mean time Im happy watching my Kiwi saver go up at last and I will keep trucking on.

    Thanks
That's very much the same place I've ended up in. I just can't see the advantage of changing the thing out at the moment - I can get it serviced cheaper than at the dealer service agent elsewhere and with better service (they actually do what they've been asked to do and are happy to prove it, and also much less attitude) all with a cheaper price. Current place doesn't have complementary coffee though.

Everyone saying what about the warranty - well when things got technical/difficult with my current vehicle the dealer service people walked away (twice), this isn't only my experience and notably it's over several different brands so the warranties aren't worth shite apparently. It's far easier to get action when you buy privately rather than as a business - you don't have the CGA protection as a business. Makes you think twice about the purchase decision I can tell you.
