    New Water toys

Not real boating as such, but the wife's brother gave my kids his old pole skis. They've been sitting around for nearly 10 yrs. I've got 1 going but the other may take a little more work.
Not that I'll be riding them for quite a while. Don't think my back surgeon would be happy if he found out.

That looks a whole lot of fun. I had a crack on one a hand full of years back. Think it will be a while before my next go too.

Seeing as I know 3/4 of sod-all about these things - do ya kneel on them?
Are they better than a jetski or just older style?
    Whadda they go for normally?

Kneeling is for pussies haha. You stand up and ride it. Think of them as a 2S MX bike compared to the sit down types as a Harley.

From memory if you ride motorbikes takes a bit of getting used to, if you counter steer like a bike you fall over.

Its a pretty quick adjust from a dirtbike....dont really counter steer them tho just lean and turn/gas it. They handle power on and are terrible off the gas so same same.... the thing I had to adjust to was that feeling of loosing the front wheel were on a bike you would lessen steering lock and get weight forward to recover instead you turn tighter with more power and weight rearward.

Even somewhere to stow the net
Real guns start with the number 3 or bigger and make two holes, one in and one out

Had a quick look at the non runner today.
Rear cylinder is pumping out oil when cranked over. As in lots of oil. I didn't have a rag over the holes and got covered lol.
Going to have to strip the intake off and inspect it all now. It's probably a carb issue as my bil has had issues before with it.

I've been recommended to delete both the oil pump and crankcase ventilation valve by a lot of jetskiers. Seems the oil pumps have common issues failing and so does the seals on the ventilation valve and then bad bad things happen.
Seeing as they've been sitting for ages it may be preventative maintenance if I do at least that to the 1 that runs.
The other needs to come out of the hole for further tinkering
