Will be interested to hear how much the fuel economy increases when towing.
Diesel vs petrol is pretty much even steven for general running about, but petrols seem to start sucking the gas when towing, whereas a lot of diesels hardly increase much at all.

Check out some forums about running the mitsi and see what service interval people are doing and what oil, engine and gearbox.
A lot of folk tend to do much more frequent oil changes than recommend, especially if doing a fair bit of towing.
Some manufactures have drawn out the service intervals to meet environmental specifications, very common for transmissions to be "sealed for life" but benefit from regular (ish) oil changes.

Doing a fuel check now, filled tank and reset trip meter, so far 250ks on half tank, 30ltrs, and learning all the knobs and buttons. Has "D" plus "D"S, I was driving along at 80ks and tried the ds, went into after burners, s""""t, wife having a hissy fit and got it back in control at 120ks, My Focus is a pocket rocket, but this Mitsi is a wolf in a sheep skin. I don`t tow that much with it, just a holiday away in our caravan and a hunting trip for me, I don`t like dirty oil and change it often , have sprayed rust oil every where and going to check the plugs , drives nicely and never much over 2.000rpms, even at 120ks.

It`s in good nick, has been under sealed, no rust, but I`m going to rust proof it with" lanotec" my homebrewed stuff and all I need is a two bar fitted so I can go bush with my caravan.

Looks good. Try and get a tow bar with removable tongue, or at least one that is lower than the 'taildoor' when you lower it. I've seen a few around that the ball dents the panel when lowered. @homebrew.357

Yep, all done Oraki, guy came in van and fitted a recoverable tow bar, so I`m good to go. All I need now is humugus bullbars and winch on the front, will be looking the hunter type.
