Thread: Oh bugger....

Today started with a oil and filter change on the Landy, then thought I'd just have a look for that small exhaust manifold leak...
Hmmm, no less than three broken manifold studs on the Nissan FD35



Tried an Ezi-out on the first, went through three sizes and no joy. Re-coil kit to the rescue!!

1st we tap out for the insert...


A nice clean oversize threaded hole...


Here's the insert ready to restore the M10 x 1.5 thread


Screwing the insert in to the head...


Nice new M10 x 1.5 threaded hole...


In goes the new stud and we're one down, two to go!


Coulda done without this job though, I'm a computer geek f'r chrissakes!!!
