The V6 twin turbo actually makes more HP and KW than the V8.

The V8 has been plagued with issues anyway. The EGR system blocks badly, and the engines suck dust in which in turn buggers up the turbos and then engine. We've replaced lots at work.
After seeing what we have to do to them all the time, I wouldn't touch 1...not without a new car warranty anyway.
While i agree to a point. If you choose to bypass the warranty and get rid of the oil mist through the intercooler, egr block and another fuel filter this solves a lot of the issues and gives you a very reliable long lasting engine,Plenty of high km examples floating around oz with zero issues.
