Thread: Old Dunstan Road

Hey team, some advice from those in the know if you please....
Heading to the Mainland for 3 weeks with the family late dec/Jan for 3 weeks.
My question, obviously depending on the weather before and on the day will a 2wd ute be all good over the Old Dunstan Road?
Ridden it on a bike 10years back and seem to recall a few mushy spots, so keen to hear some more recents experiences of the road.

According to my DOC mate, the eastern end of the Serpentine Road is impassable due to a damaged bridge, but if you stick to the slightly more northern Old Dunstan Road you should be OK at that time of year. Take a shovel, etc, just in case.
