    The CRFs are renowned for mushrooming the valves.
    I'd be checking/ replacing every 25-40hrs max

    Definitely check regularly and shim if required. Not sure if the newer ones are as bad as the earlier models?

    Yes I think that's a legacy issue with the carbureted CRF up to 2008. I specifically wanted a 2009 on as there were a number of improvements including the frame design and geometry and they came with the fuel injection. That said, the valve clearances are important to keep on top of. Thanks guys
    10MRT shooters do it 60 times, in two directions and at two speeds.
