    Outlander tyres...

Apparently I need a set of tyres for the wife's car shortly - they are getting down and have almost done 60K's.

Factory supplied ones are Toyo A24 225/55R18, but looks like these aren't commonly available and have been superseded on the new Outlanders. What's good/or a good place to get them nowadays - a lot of options but the version numbers have all rolled on since I was in the market for car tyres last.

We had someone on here in the tyre game, who was that???

I cannot recommend Bridgestone as fitted new to many vehicles. I looked at Cooper$ for my Mu-x, but went with Hankook.

based in tauranga, pretty good service just got 5 rt's for my pathfinder, can also use hyperdrive or just stopin to the local tyreshop as they have to compete with the online side these days, some do better other are still way way more

Falken Wildpeak ATSs on my Escudo, they handle everything I've thrown at them including snow, shallow mud, gravel, scree and rock, and lots of windy sealed roads.
    I'm super impressed with them

I wouldn't be fitting the O.E tyres on , most if not all factory fitted tyres carry one hell of a price tag!
If you want a really good bit of rubber on their I would be going with the Cooper Pro Control-I have just fitted a set on my wife's vehicle and they are the ducks nuts and also have a 60k mileage warranty , If money is a bit tight at the moment and you still want a good reliable tyre than have a look at the Hankook RA33. Falken is a good bit of rubber but I wouldn't be fitting an all terrain to the wife's vehicle like some have suggested unless she actually needs one , besides that fact the Falken AT3 isn't available in that size.
Feel free to flick me a pm for any advice mate

Definitely not a budget brand boss , Japanese made tyre that competes with all of the big boys but doesn't always command the same price as them

I got 5x 265 65 17 roughmaster greentrac rt's 270$ each fitted and balanced, they are no more noisy then the double coins street tyres that were on it. Noticed a wee bit of whirring but 1000kms done now and the spikes have mostly worn away so the whirring has almost gone so im well happy no noisier then my falken Wildpeak at3w's on previous 4x4 so very impressed considering how aggressive they are
