    PATROL 600000Ks

For all you nissan fans, the old beast just clocked over 600k and just purring along.Gets its new wof this morning after front wheel bearing twinked up.Over the last 19yrs this month iv had it.Only replaced batterys, alternator and had aircon pump reconditioned under the bonnet.
Always keeped up to cof standard (6 months)commercial taxi.Last 4 yrs just wof standard (12)now,none commercial.
Just put new feet on it last week, nice n quiet on the road.Thort about selling it.The 4.2 tdi doesn't burn oil either.Second hand V8 patrols getting cheap enough to buy now.No ruc with them either.See what happens in the next month or so.

Never had a nissan service$700+.Just go to Oil Changers Christchurch,$300 for 2 oil filters, fuel n air filters+ 10litres of oil.
    Cheap as chips,every 10000ks.
Got a 9000lb super winch tucked in the ARBs bars too, strong as with 9mm aircraft wire rope.Factory diff lock works well.Nearlly all open road running helps engine last.

You mention the things you've replaced under bonnet, what about the rest of the vehicle?

How has the suspension and drive train held up?
Brother in law recently rebuilt a ZF gear box, was quoted $9000 to have it rebuilt, so did it himself.

Big lazy engine not loaded at cruise speeds helps too. The new gear at 2L and ferocious hurricane-level induction wind from 16 hairdryers is working at 80% power just to cruise!

There's been some serious discussions in our house about selling it in the last few days with its new wof and tyers. What sort of market value would it have?

I've got 2. A Dec 97 and a late 1998. From a resale perspective they appear to go cheaper than a good condition GQ ( goodness knows why). The early one was 12K @400,000km 7 years ago (now at 535,000km) and the newer one was 16K @ 330km earlier this year.

Moral of the story: Its not worth selling
