Is it just me, or does that seem pricey for a single axle trailer?

Looks and sounds like a good thing without actually seeing one.
Reguarly dropping heavy stuff on the deck like loading with a digger for example might/could lead to cracking out the crossmembers as it looks like they are only welded top and bottom with the scollop cut out to allow for galvanising. Thats the only criticism I could come up with from a quick peruse of the photos.

Yeh it does. I make a few so I do know there isn’t a huge mark up once one factors in time etc.

I have a tip one here about to be galvernized and I’d sell it for way less but no cage. Although that’s probably $200 extra.
All 3mm NZ steel. Because I know how it’s built and it has some cool folds and steel work on it it is WAY nicer than these pictured trailers.

I thought it quite cheap for a hot dipped, tipping, caged trailer with jocky and spare?

Cheers guys, appreciate your input. @Danny if you're selling something way better for cheaper then I'm all ears. Noting the one in the link has everything I want and is relatively local it seems like a good option for me.

I dont buy trailers either so I guess I dont really know the market prices.

Big places get big discounts but if jo bloggs off st goes to buy hubs stubs wheels tires springs ubolts mudguards lights droplocks coupling springbolts chain etc it mounts up quick before you have even bought steel or built it or shipped it to be galvanized if you were to build yourself.

I have an engineering business. I make heavy duty trailers. I use nz made or German Knott parts. Any parts not made in nz still come from reputable parts company that is fully tested.
There are some good nz made and European made trailers. They cost more because of the parts are better and materials are superior.
Cheap trailers are Chinese made, to a price. They are generally lightweight light rated springs etc. they are fine for light duty, use occasionally etc.
If you are a contractor or carry heavy loads and frequent use, the Chinese ones last a couple years and fall apart. I’ve seen it.
    So buy fit for purpose.

Generally anything running Trailparts components is locally made. The local built gear usually has better quality steel and welding.

Have 2 Pintos and they are great.
My tandem hasn't bent yet despite me regularly overloading it.
