    Racing my new GasGas

Had the last round of the Central XC series over the weekend (2 hour cross country dirt bike race). The track was awesome and my new bike that some will be tracking from the “TPI dirt bikes” thread was bloody awesome! Rode my best race of the series despite more goggle issues at the start again (have now forked out the coin for a good pair of Oakleys with rollers).

Here’s a vid from the race:

To be honest I felt a heck of a lot safer on Sunday racing then I did Tahr hunting last year. I expect that driving my vehicle down the road would sooner put me in a box. It’s good fun

What really rips my grots is that all this fantastic technology has come along 30 years too late. Ohhhh the places I could have got to if my current 2 wheel ride was around in the 70's. XR 500's got you only so far...

That and you tube. Being in your 60's is not the time to practise your pivot turns, log jumps, bank hops etc etc. But you do it cause its sooo much fun.

Some good speed there SS, gives me sore arms just watching that these days, used to do a bit of motocross and trail riding years ago. Minginui, Kaingaroa, Kai iwi and desert storm were epicly memorable.

And I see where you are coming from on the Tahr hunting Stagstalker. That country scares the crapp out of me. Hence I haven't shot one.
I'm a chicken now, just imagine how much of a chicken I'll be when/if I get to Maca's age.
And here am I thinking you were older,

Tuned the powervalve this weekend, got the bike running even better now. Didn’t realise how much it was being held back until I tuned it

    That’s great, good for you.

No claims to be fastest guy out there from me, I'm just out there to have fun.

Kudos to you @stagstalker for putting the vid up. Clearly you’re not the fastest rider there but you’re out there competing and hopefully having fun. Most people only put up shit when they’re winning or there about. Good on you and keep at it

Awesome, made me really miss club mototrcross. I recall doing a 2 hour moto, probably one of the most exhausting things ive ever done.
