    Radar Renegade RT Plus tyres

Thanks those who replied about the Patriot R/T tyres.
Now I've found the Patriots are not available locally in the size I'm after (265/75/16), but been told they are exactly the same as Radar Renegade RT Plus which are available.
So, any experience with the Renegades? cheers

I run them currently. Not had the truck long but had them in very wet and some steep rocky ground. No slip at all. They are also nice and quiet around town. When I downsize my current 20” rims I’ll be getting them again.

Expensive. Wear fast. Noisy when 1/2 worn. Good grip though.
Value for money - not imo.
Maxxis Razr MT been better on my Hilux.

I see the Aussies using the MarkMa Dakar RT tyre a fair bit now.
The Goodyear Boulders would be nice but waaaay over priced

I bought some Greentrek R/Ts for my Triton, noisy on road but seem pretty good so far..... cheap as chips as well.

The Radar Renegades I wouldn't even put on my mother in law , pretty junk mileage , horrible in the wet , noisy when they get a touch of uneven wear on them.

    Got a budget in mind?

Those things were the worst tyres I've ever used 2nd only by the Goodridge MT.
BFG ATs are designed for desert not tarmac or grass or anything we have here really.
Wouldn't put them on a wheelbarrow personally haha

Bridgestone Dueller are another AT that everyone used to rave over. I got stuck on wet grass in a little work truck on those damn things, boss chucked those on in LT form as it was at that point the only option that had anything resembling a grippy tread pattern. I was sitting there needing to get another 30m over the big, terrifying wet green 50mm long grass strands doing the spin of shame with both rear feet going round and me going nowhere. This was with duals and a reasonable load on too. I got me mate to video it, and sent it to the boss. Boss, how much you pay for these things? No that's too much, no good at operating...

    Another on my avoid list.

I have gained a fair amount of respect for the poxy old Dunlop AT22 pattern, very quiet, remarkably able on a variety of surfaces, very cheap for fuel consumption, if they have more than 3 or 4mm left on them OK for grip (but under that bloody awful, I've got just over 3mm on the ones on the ute at the moment and they will spin and slide on politicians tears). Best thing is you can pick them up between $75 and $125 a corner on factory alloys often times with delivery miles only if you shop around as they don't have any street cred at all haha.

When you got 1800kgs on the front axel and 1400kgs on the rear with diff lock activated, you get plenty of traction with BFGs ATs.But big sinky mud holes,na.Like most trucks will get stuck in.
