    Radiator Repair

Hi all. The old camry's radiator is long gone so having to replace but the replacement which is a spare I having laying around for a while has issues with both side stiffeners (believe that's what they are called) have each come away at one end. I don't know much about radiators so is this a major issue and can it be easily repaired. Thanks

honestly the repair cost would be ridiculous, just get a new one.
i did resolder a very weird obsolete, unusual shaped one years ago and it took so much time i regret doing it. but it was V shaped and no replacement could be found.
even worse the guy took the radiator then never paid

It wouldn't take someone that knows what they are doing long to repair that...

Don’t know what year your Camry is but there’s a few different year ranges and they are cheap.

Yeah the modern gear can be a pain in the arse to even think about touching. And when you do open them up it can be like the proverbial can of worms... Those side frames look like the rust has got into them, replacement bits plus labour - and it's still an old radiator of unknown serviceability. I dunno, if you have to take the punt on that whats a new motor worth? New radiator is cheap I reckon.
