I give up...where's the tow ball?...a good 4x4 bungy rope would do the same as that winch and give anyone in the boat a real thrill.
Which is worse, ignorance or apathy...I don't know and don't care.

Tow bar / ball slips out of receiver. Winch slips in.. winch trailer down bank while cruiser stays on the hard. Trailer has wide jockey wheel locked in straight position

Drop trailer over bank kick boat off winch trailer back up

Boring. I think a flying fox approach would be more fun for those onboard and entertaining for those watching

On a serious note You have obviously done the research on this and know what you are doing to to go to the expense of the setup. No one else has seen the riverbank that you are talking of. I doubt you would want to lose the boat and/or see people hurt.
Be keen to see a video once sorted

Its a no brainer. Trailer wheels drop over the bank. While attached to the vehicle its hard to retrieve as wheel spin like crazy on the grass to retrieve it. (Boat obviously has no one in it launching. Its easy to get into from the bank.)
This way trucks on the hard no wheel spin or damage to the bank just eases the trailer back up gently as. Boat is too heavy to launch yourself but light enough for this game...
    Wouldn't try it with a 20 footer.

"Bum raping" is what I thought this thread was about when I saw the topic heading.
