Thread: Replacement for 2007 outback???

Ok folks time for another thread on what to buy....

Currently got a 2007 outback with the 3.0 boxer engine, above wagon and nothing wrong with it but starting to get up to 300km and thinking of replacing.

New one will need to fit 3 dogs in the boot, gear on the backseat and 2 people up front for travelling the country. Also require towbar (could get fitted later) with enough grunt to tow a single axle with up to a tonne of at times. Big consideration is fuel economy (anything is going to be better.... $35 for a 2hr drive going like a nanna 8km/l )

Not looking like a ugly duck would be nice as well. Prefer petrol over diesel as not doing many kms. 4wd would be nice but not necessary as long as I can get chains in he wheel arches.

Budget revolves around age and kms on it. Could go new but prefer a couple of years old.

Thought of a 2wd double cab ute but once you get a canopy a station wagon seems to be cheaper and more fuel efficient.

Ideas folks???
