    Show me your cruiser.

So Ever since I was a young fella I've had a fascination with the old fj cruisers. Now still never had one and passing on one that was all original 10 years ago, and was a one owner. My mate has got his hands on a old and really rusty 1980 police wagon fj45, thay say rust is cheaper then carbon fibre! But got me thinking. Show us your cruiser. Name: image.jpg

Great thread, 80series in the driveway, fairly standard cept 2inch lift, maxxis muds, ironman front bar and a 9500lb winch

I reckon if you can live out of any vehicle on the road for a month plus 5000 km
It's all good. Except for the maggot who gives you a ticket for 129 km when you were actually doing 93
Then says come back down and defend it. The airfares cost more than the fine you maggot !!

Interesting stat in the news paper last week regarding the current FJ which is being discontinued by Toyota - there was only 350-ish units sold (cant recall the exact number) in the 5 years they were available in NZ. Seems very low.

This was my beast, Brought it for 2G as is. Took all the rust out of wheel arches, floor, round some windows. Fitted a PTO winch, race seat, thought I was the ducks nuts. But man did it suck some coin, bit tough when in ya early 20s. So I sold it.

I imherited the old girl, 350K on her and never misses a beat. Just run in for a Toyota non turbo... Nice round 20secs to get to 100kmh bit of road noise from the new feet over 90. Has pulled some serious weights in her life, 750kg of animal grain in the boot every month for 10yrs, Ne shocks had to happen and why not lift her at the same time! @Frosty, had a mu in my early 20s brought for 1g and must have spent 4+ keeping it going for 3years.

Prado is the weird cousin that makes every one uncomfortable and never gets invited to family gatherings version on a landcruiser.

I heard it was the incestual love child of a Cruiser and Hilux.

    Still a good wagon.

It's a bit like the 80 series then, The kid that everyone had high hopes for but never lived up too expectations and got beaten at everything by the other kid in the street (patrol)
