Oh wow. In 1976 I drove from Alice Springs to Perth in one of those. Long wheel base Landrover I mean.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

Haha - this one was quite nice to drive - after I managed to repair the heater fan - loose plug.

Warm after that ... even going over the pass..

Wow. That"s 30 vehicles in 20 years. That's one every 8 months on average!
You could hardly have had them long enough for anything to go wrong.

Well you can't really say that about the Landies, ... they come that way from the design board.

Yea but you can only drive one at a time.

My best ever 4wd both in ability and running cost LN106 hilux, supercharged, custom front end 33''s 4.8s tight lsds front and rear....nothing out of the ordinary now but groundbreaking shit back in the day.
Worst vehicle ever in running costs 80series cruiser....and I had an XB Fairmont I put a 460cu carbed worked v8 in that and it was far cheaper

Those old landys arnt too bad standard....just gutless and thirsty, A holden 186 or 202 improves both but then they break axles.

I recon one would go well with say a twin turboed 500+cube Keith Black alloy block in a mild state of tune for low down grunt and 1500ish hp and some heavy Ford running gear.

I think my twins best landie was the one with a 186 and an Eaton diff in the rear.

Nice truck Doc. My brother just drove a series 3 shorty from Wanaka to Christchurch in the weekend, it was -4 at Tekapo and she just purred along the whole trip. He inherited it from our uncle, deal was it had to stay in the family and I'm on the list to own her later on.
