    Toasti - The Crispy Cruiser

    Hi Everyone,

I've purchased myself a project 200 Series Cruiser. I got it off a salvaged auction with a fire damaged interior . Thought I'd make a little rebuild thread and detail the process for getting this back on the road.

    Here's a couple of pics

The body is in reasonable condition. Looks like it's done a bit of offroading with some dings and scrapes to the running boards. Seems to have a 2" lift in it, and I can see remote reservoirs, but I haven't tracked if these are doing anything. Got a nice bar and winch. The bar seem a bit twisted? Probably been wrenched on by the looks. Dual battery and the roof basket with some lightage.

Current plan is to get this thing back on the road, with a few interior mods. It's going to be our main vehicle for our family and hopefully we'll get outdoors with it over summer.

I've got my local repair certifier visiting next week to go over it all and in the meantime the hunt for parts begins!

The vehicle had no keys, I've done some reading and apparently with the right key and some software (Techstream) I'll be able to get a working remote. I hopped onto Aliexpress and found a key and a cable for $100, fingers crossed this works and perhaps I'll buy another key if it does.

I'm in the market for most of the interior forward of the front seats if anyone has a lead.
Barefoot, Trout, BRADS and 4 others like this.
