    Tow bar fitting

Hi there, just wondering if a tow bar needs to be fitted by a certified installer or signed off or anything like that.
I know that the units themselves need to meet NZ standards but can't find anything about the installation.

    Cheers

Find a car like yours with a tow bar already fitted and get a look how it’s fitted.

Them do it yourself using Grade 5 bolts and spring washers under the nuts - it use nyloc nuts.

    (It ain’t rocket surgery!!)

Do it yourself if you're competent otherwise there's people that sell them and will come round and fit it for a pretty good price depending where you are late model vehicles may require an adapter for the trailer wiring
