    Trailer WOF

Had someone tell me their brand new trailer had just got a wof....with the tail lights not at the rear of the boat trailer but perched back on the mudguards. I thought there were angles from the rearmost part of the trailer that the lights had to be visible from, from both the inboard and outboard side?

Someone who's in the industry may be able to put me right here. Is this legal?, cause it certainly would save on damage etc
