    Sounds like the small vacuum assist hose has come off or is perished. Would explain the slow transition thru the gears.

    Rav's don't have vacuum assist.

    Sounds like an internal issue. If its had the oil changed in the past, as a possibility the incorrect oil was used then??? There are a few different types and some aren't compatible with the type of trans'

    Cheers guys for the info, I’ll take it to Auto Transmission when I get back in country, Missus is driving my hilux in the meantime, hopefully she doesn’t wreck it too
