    Two wheeler for the missus.....

Anyone got any tips/advice for us?
The missus wants a two wheeler for the beach etc.
Nothing too flash, just plain and reliable.
Something without a clutch would be great, She has a gammy right foot, so if a clutchless bike has the rear brake on the left handlebar then she should be good to ride it.

Anyway, I don't know anything about bikes, so any advice appreciated thanks.

Iv had a Kawasaki super sherpa 250 for years , electric start , they have renamed them now I think it’s called a stockman , there not overly big so you can put your feet on the ground easily , nice & quite too .

Honda CT 110 if you can still find one....

Of fit beach / wide wheels to a Super Soco (if possible) electric so twist and go, brakes where a bikes brakes would be and no chains...

Honda CTs will seriously struggle on any kind of soft sand.

If you find an auto bike with a rear disc brake you could probably rig up a lever easy enough.

Unless riding rough terrain at speed you can get away with not using the rear brake.

As Savage says you should be able to get away with only using the front brake, which will open up the options for bikes.
Depending on how many Kms she is going to use it for each time, an electric bike might fit the bill.

Howdy, it's "the missus" here. What do you guys think about a Honda XR150? I want something to putt around on, doubt I'll ever be going very fast! Thanks for all your advice so far

Just a thought about where to ride on the beach.

Water has a way of packing down sand and making it firm to ride on, so the higher up the beach and in the dunes, the softer the sand will be .

If I were riding along the beach, I'd ride about 10m-30m from the water. And probably look for a bike with balloon tyres, less ground pressure, better traction.

Like this. So far as I know, this isn't an auto, so won't suit your missus.

Howdy Mrs @40mm one thing to consider is the weight of the bike and the weight of the rider. A small rider on a large heavy bike will struggle to control or pick it up if it is too heavy, but likewise a larger rider on a small bike will struggle with other issues such as comfort, getting moving and sinking.

XR are a good bike, though my preference would be towards the XL rather than XR. More "agricultural" in design.

You can go slow on a bigger bike but a smaller bike may run out of puff when you need it. Either way, make sure that you "fit" the bike. Yamaha AG 200 were good too.

For sand the UBCO may be well worth a peek with its wide tyres, but they are not cheap bikes. https://www.ubcobikes.com/products/

hard to beat a honda, only down side is the older xr is kick start only. There are the newer xr150 and xr190 with electric start lights etc which you might find one with high km cheap.
how much you wanting to spend?
