    Tyres

    Hey team,

I'm needing a new set of tyres. Currently have Cooper at3 4s.
I'm looking at falken wildpeak at3 or at4. I'm rotorua based. Where's the best price to get them? Currently looking around.
Or any other suggestions on tyres?

    Cheers bevan

If you have enough tread to hold off until hyperdrive have one of their 40% off sales (they have them fairly regularly), that would be my recommendation.

I did quite a bit of research recently and found that hyperdrive prices seemed to overly inflated and only come down to market value when on special. For example, Falken wildpeak AT3w 265x65x17 $520 on hyperdrive not fitted and i paid $365 fitted and balanced locally in Taupo a few weeks ago.

I got multiple prices and found the smaller private stores seemed to be significantly cheaper compared the the franchise/chain stores.

Defintely shop around and get some prices

I like them too and will need to put a set on my old cruiser soon. Running 31X10.50R15 109Q notice a fair range in prices.
Might have to ask the local guys to sharpen their pencil.

The number is the load rating. 116T is standard 4wd load which I brought. The higher the number the higher the load rating, more ply and stronger side walls. Better to go higher if you're river driving on sharp rocks. Often the higher rating will have LT at the start of the size.

What size are you running mate?
Those Cooper AT3 4S aren't really worth the $$$ , way better off going with a a light truck construction.
Falken is a really good piece of rubber , I always get a bit nervous when a new pattern comes out , especially when the old one went so well.
