    Tyres

What would be considered a good trade in for some about half worn BFG MTs, 31/10.5/R15? About 30000k on them, no major cuts/nicks etc

    Well here's a possible benchmark.

Scored a set of basically new Dunlop ATs on mint Ranger alloys for $651 on Tardme recently.

I normally get $75+ for a 3/4 worn set of mud tyres, never hard to sell them, but that's in a bit of an odd size 285/70/17.

Just replaced the rear tyres on the holden crewman after 18,000kms. Thoughts good or bad?

I got 105,000km from the Bridgestone tyres on my 4x2 Hiace van. The tread was barely half worn but the side walls perished. 18,000km seems very low but about what I'm getting on the AWD Hiace.

Got 15,000 out of rears on a Navara STX, others I knew who were heavy footed got 10,000. Didn't have the same problem with the next set, but Nissan ducked and dived blaming local roads.

Talking to a logging contractor the other day, was using Goodride tyres on a hi-lux,had already done 40,000km and was impressed, no punctures and $180 each on T/M off a tyre co in Napier.
