    Tyres for Pajeo

I have a wee Pajero. Yesterday I managed to punch a hole in one of the tyres..........Poooze

    My Delimea.
Currently it wears BF Goodrich 32 x 11.5 x R15, now these are bloody expensive and I need to replace 2 rears to keep things even. As a set they have done 75,000ks

If I replace them with Bridgstones 674s or similar ( we are running 697s on wifes truck) it looks like I can get 4 for the price of 3 at the moment. Which will be slightly more than buying 2 of the originals

Given its not a daily driver, but the "dog kennel" truck it does not warrent gold plated tyres but it does spend most of its time at the mo on riverbed tracks or riverbeds

    Anyone using the 674s??

    Any other ideas

I know but that would make the tyres worth more than the truck they are on!!!

If the bloody hole was not so big I would be just getting it fixed, I'm hoping it can be but its a biggish hole

Maybe cuase they were Yankee tyres??
The originals were brought by my brother when he had the truck, they were Rolled across LA cause no Taxi would take him and then rolled thru NZ customs 1 at a time over 4 trips.

I'm going for the 674 I think. I don't do many km in the Hilux, but they're all off-road. They perish before wearing out. Also looking at Goodride.
Tyre shop tried to sell me another set of Coopers to put on it. I wouldn't have to buy tyres for another20 yrs

@mikee, depending where the hole is you may be able to get it Vulcanised.
There s a local tyre shop that will do vulcanising repairs.
You'll have to agree to it not being a road worthy repair but I have had a few 4wd tyres with sidewall damage repaired there and never had a problem.
Otherwise my vote would be either goodrides for budget tyres, and Maxxis 762 or 764 for a decent tyre, without spending huge dollars on the premium brands BFGoodrich Pirelli, Cooper etc.

@mikee I've got these on my Surf & it 's a bit of a dog kennel too. Only used for hunting or taking the hound to the river. No probs & have done only about 20000kms so far with minimal wear. Not sure what price they are in the tyre shops as I deal with the importer.

I'm running FREE PASSER CT404 MT at the moment from TyreShopOnline: The Online Tyre Shop for Quality Affordable Tyres. Free delivery when buying 4 or more tyres, but they haven't got them listed at the moment. Really impressed with them so far on and off road.

These look identical but a different brand.
