Thread: Used trailers

Hey Munsey,
I have just had to buy a replacement trailer for one of my subbies as his one got nicked from work when some scummers broke in and raided our warehouse.
From what I have seen anything going for around $1800 on the net is imported shite, Light gauge and welded built at some sweat shop in china by little kids wearing beer bottles for welding googles. Another of the boys from work purchased a $2500 trailer from Bummings, built a dog box on it and was towing his hounds to Taupo last weekend and the draw bar failed on the under side buckled and collapsed. So you don't anything for $2500 in tandem axle.
Id say if they are Brifords that those prices aren't bad. A decent NZ made Galv 8 x4 or 8 x5 are going for around $3K, and that's for single axles. Prices look pretty good to me. Thell last for donkeys as well.
